Q: Do I need Pilates experience before enrolling?
A: At least 25 hours of Pilates sessions are required. A strong personal practice is recommended, but you don’t need to be an advanced mover.
Q: How long is the teacher training program?
A: The comprehensive training typically takes 12–18 months to complete. This includes classroom instruction, practice hours, observation, and supervised teaching.
Q: What certification will I receive?
A: Graduates earn a Comprehensive Contrology Academy Certification, rooted in Joseph Pilates’ original method. This prepares you to teach classical Pilates on all apparatus and mat with knowledge on teaching with props.
Q: What makes Contrology Academy different?
A: We preserve the integrity of Joe Pilates’ work — no watered-down versions. You’ll train under Joel Crosby and faculty with direct lineage to first-generation teachers, receiving both rigorous education and personal mentorship.
Q: Where are trainings held?
A: Our programs are currently offered in Duluth, GA at Vitality Method Pilates Studio and Arlington, TX at Phases Fitness.
Q: What does tuition include?
A: Tuition covers in-person instruction, mentorship, access to the complete classical equipment, program materials, 6 private sessions with Joel, unlimited group classes with Joel, and 1 group class session a week with Vitality Method senior instructors starting in January for 6-months.

Q: What career opportunities are available after graduation?
